My Tribute to Sami Hyypia...

Since our big Finn is moving to Bayer Leverkusen next season...
i thought i shall give him a tribute fitting a legend who has been at Liverpool for a decade....
I started supporting Liverpool since i was eight i think...
the first time i saw them play..
i was mesmerized by Micheal Owen's ability to score, his pace, his all round ability...
but back then i was young...
all i guess a young boy like me can see back then are this people who score goals...
who have great instincts as a striker....

but i'd never seen the importance of the other players...
but as one grows up...
we see the whole team as a unit...
Steven Gerrard was my idol when Owen went to Madrid...
By then also i realized one more important element of the team back then...
it was SAMI HYYPIA...
the Great Finn actually formed a watertight partnership with whomever he had to play with at the back...it was Stephen Henchoz in the beginning....
but then it was Jamie Carragher....

But the abilities of Sami Hyypia was not only defending...he also was a good passer...
and also a deadly asset to have in the opposition penalty box at corners...
he can not only head the ball superbly but can also volley the ball in....

The goal against Juve en route to Istanbul is one....

But hey...what can a guy like me say much about a great Finn who has been at Anfield for most of his career?....not much i guess...'
maybe some will not agree with my post...
(especially manc supporters...)
but it is my tribute...
solely....
my tribute...

i have great respect for this guy...
against MU at old trafford this season...
he was not supposed to play..but arbeloa got injured...
he stepped up...
and gave another solid display like he did his whole career...
i never did knew that he was unhappy being used sparingly till i read an interview at
www.liverpoolfc.tv

he is a professional....
he never complains...
even if he is used sparingly...

if anyone is willing...
read this article...
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N164261090505-1143.htm

it shows how good a professional he is....

well i guess thats as far as i go for this tribute
since i dont think i can sum it up by just one blog post.....

but whatever it is...
Sami Hyypia...
The doors at Melwood and Anfield are open for you to return as a coach...

YNWA!!!!!!
